You see, about 2000 years ago, at a place called Calvary our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bare OUR sickness and diseases in His body at the cross and by the stripes that He bare, the price was paid for the healing of our bodies.

     Now I ask you this; If Jesus bare my sickness, then why should I continue to hold onto it?  If God's word is true (and we know it is impossible for God to lie) and by the stripes of Jesus I was healed 2000 years ago, then why does sickness and disease continue to rule and reign in my body?

     Glad you asked.  You see, in the same way that Jesus bare our sins in His own body on the tree, He bare our sicknesses and diseases.  So is everybody saved?  Does everyone have eternal life?  Of corse the answer is no.  The Bible says that it is God's will that none should perish but that ALL should come to repentance.  Jesus paid the price for our sins and not ours only but for the sins of the WHOLE world.

     Even though we have promises from God they don't profit us unless we mix them with faith.  The children of Israel had been given the promised land by God.  He said that it belonged to them.  But because they didn't believe the promise and actively take possession of the promise, they wandered around in the wilderness and died not receiving the promise that actually belonged to them.  They had been given the promise of God but they didn't believe and take possession of the promise so they died not receiving the promise.

     Even though deliverance from sin and sickness has already been provided to us through God's great and precious promises, they don't do us any good until we mix them with faith.  Unless and until we begin to believe what God says and actively take possession of these promises.

     I know you are asking me "How do I do that?"  Well I'll just tell you.  First get hold of the promise of God.  It's contained in God's word and I've quoted it here in this article.  The Bible says that we receive all the promises of God through faith and that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  God's word says "Himself took our infirmities and bare our sickness and by His stripes we were healed".

     We need to get this word of God down in our heart. "For with the heart man believeth and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (which includes Divine healing)."  The way we get God's word down in our heart is to meditate on His word day and night.  "Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against God."  "Thou shall meditate on God's word day and night and then shalt thou make thy way prosperous and then shalt thou have good success."

     If we want to have good success in receiving from God then we have to do what God says to have that success.  If we are going to have success in receiving healing for our bodies then we are going to have to get up off our lazy hiney and begin to meditate on God's word day and night.  We have to get God's promises down in our heart and then we have to begin to say God's promises out of our MOUTHS.

     With the mouth confession is made unto deliverance.  Jesus said in Mark 11:24 that whatever you desire when you pray that you have to believe that you receive it when you ask for it, then you will get it.  Jesus said that you have to believe that you have it before you will actually SEE that you have it.  That is faith, and by faith and patience we inherit the promises of God.

     When circumstances in our lives don't line up with what God says in His word, God expects us to believe and receive what He has for us in His word and not go by what we see in the natural.  "We walk by faith and not by sight."  When sickness or disease comes against your body don't say "I believe I'm catching a cold" say "headache I just command you to leave in the name of Jesus.  I'm healed by the stripes of Jesus."
Whatever you believe in your heart and say with your mouth you will have.  If you continue to say what you have in the natural, you will continue to have it.  But if you begin to resist sickness and disease with the word of God and say I'm healed, even if you don't feel like it, then that sickness and disease that's from the devil will flee from you.  "Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the Devil and he will flee from you."
"Jesus came to heal the sick and destroy ALL the works of the Devil."

     This is how I pray to receive healing in my body.  If you need healing in your body begin to pray this prayer with me.  "Father God, I just thank you that Jesus took my infirmities and bare my sickness and with His stripes I am healed.  I give you praise and glory Father that sickness has no place in me.  I thank you Lord that since that same Spirit that raised up Christ from the dead dwells in me, You are making alive, right now, my mortal body in Christ Jesus."  "Now sickness I command you to leave my body, right now, in the name of Jesus.  Satan I bind you in Jesus name.  I resist you with God's word and I AM HEALED by Jesus stripes.  Thank you Jesus.  Thank you Lord."

     Once you have run sickness and disease completely out of your body by taking possession of the promises of God you can maintain your health by continuing to pray and praise God every day like this.  "Father God, I just thank You that sickness and disease has no place in me.  I just thank You Lord that You broke the power of sickness in my life.  I thank You Lord that Jesus bare my sickness so I don't have to .  I thank You Father that Your miracle working power is flowing through my body by Your Holy Spirit that is indwelling me right now.  I just give You praise Lord.  I just glorify Your holy name.  Thank You Jesus.  Thank You Lord."
